  i did hear about some bethelites visiting gay bars or engaging in homosexual acts in the late 70s and early 80s and were asked to leave bethel.

  All of that info and it only reached 1 (one) page?

  -----> My mind got stuck on the 3rd paragraph picturing Nathan and Audrey dressed formally, dancing in the Rainbow Room in NYC. Did they and the Larson's take a taxi together and if so, who paid? Or did some Bethel boy chauffeur them there, wait for them, and bring them back to their resident? What did the lowly, hard working Bethel boys eat the same days the Knorr's and Larson's were dining on foie gras ?

  The Rainbow Room in its heyday, as referenced from Wikipedia says, "It was a fine dining restaurant, known for its revolving dance floor, a live big band orchestra and a view of the New York City skyline. It was originally conceived as a formal supper club, where the elite and influential of NY could gather to socialize over cocktails, dine on fine cuisine and dance to the strains of legendary big bands on a revolving floor.

  The Rainbow Room was on the 65th floor of 30 Rockerfeller Plaza, NYC. It opened in 1934. It has been extensively remodeled and is open again for business".

  I don't know what to think about this.

  Knorr was such a miser, such a cheapskate to others, yet he lived the life of a millionaire. He got out of life exactly what he wanted. Power, prestige, and millions of people paying him to live the life he wanted. At the Rainbow Room, do you think he was looked at as a successful spiritual adviser or as a successful business man???

  Circuit Overseer cutbacks?

  it was announced at our meeting tonight that our co (who is actually a pretty good sort) and his wife have been reassigned as regular pioneers.

  they are both relatively young (50s) and have been used extensively by the society recently.

  as far as i know there are no personal issues.

  Wow. It would be nice for them to be "privileged" to be special pioneers for a while, so that they get a bit of a paycheck from Brooklyn to help them with their new, life changing status.

  It will be a shock for them, unfortunately.

  When they are turned out by WT, I guess that means they hand over the keys to the circuit car too. Bummer.

  So many new things they will have to get used to paying themselves.

  -----> I hope they smarten up and throw their pioneer status overboard and see a guidance counselor at a local Employment Agency. They have classes for them to get retrained. There are careers out there to be had. Career is not a bad word. It is the word that will help you have a good life, something that the selfish GB/JW.org does not want anyone to have except themselves and their friends.

  There was a brother 40 years ago in Los Angeles, Ron something, that made up and sold a board game composed of JW's and their positions. I only saw one game briefly, but it was possibly like collecting points. Elder so many points. Circuit overseer, more points. If you get DFed, you would get demerits, of course. lol

  Is your Sweet Sugar Pie bugging you today, because it is August and hot in the City?

  Do you ever take her in the car and go down to the South Bay, around Palos Verdes?

  There are great views up there. You can see all the way to Catalina.

  Just thinking about it makes me have tears in my eyes.

  I love making designer deviled eggs. There is an art to getting the shell off, and the membrane too, so the cooked egg white looks outstanding.

  Jehovah's Witnesses do not go to War. They do not participate, in killing someone's enemy.

  They do not support any Government, but happily tell their members and kicked out older Bethelites to go get Gov't Welfare.

  In over 120 years they have never paid one penny of taxes. They are user's.

  Because Jehovah's Witnesses do not go to war does not mean that they are peacemaker's.

  They are not.

  They are responsible for splitting up families. They tell members who wish not to associate any longer that they are bad and evil and will die and that God does not love them.

  They are responsible for countless 1,000's of death's due to not taking, life saving blood transfusion.

  They are responsible for hundreds if not thousands of suicides due to unkind behavior on WT's part.

  WT/JW.org has hatred, for all homosexuals.

  They encourage early baptism, to lock children in, before they are old enough to make adult decisions that will affect the rest of their lives.

  They discourage education.

  They discourage anything that will help you be anything but a WT drone.

  They encourage everyone to give them their time, money, their lives, freely, to keep GB members at the status they want and enjoy.

  Do you feel free to be a JW or not?

  What if you decide, no, you do not want to be associated with the name JW's? What then? How will your family and friends view you?

  Are you married? Have children? Are you gay? How will you be treated?

  All religions are known for something.

  Have you thought about how are JW's perceived by the public?

  As an embarrassing joke!

  Most people, politely, do not discuss their form of religion.

  JW.org teaches their free labor people, to go out and discuss their religion, all of the time, to go find God's little sheep.

  Do YOU think JW's should cram their brand of religion down everyone's throat??? What does knocking on private people's doors every Saturday mean to you? If I think they are God's ONLY way to salvation, I would go contact them, otherwise, JW's are BOTHERING aka bugging people. No one likes that. Normal people are too polite to generally kick JW's off their doorstep.

  But most people think JW's are weird.

  They think JW's are a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

  Is that the group, YOU want to spend your valuable time with???
